Asia United Bank Corporation (AUB) was incorporated on October 3, 1997 and was granted authority to operate as a commercial bank on September 3, 1997. AUB began its commercial operations on October 31, 1997. In 2012, the Company obtained approval from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to upgrade its license into expanded commercial banking status.
In addition to commercial banking, with AUB's universal bank status, the Company is authorized with the powers of an investment house, such as securities underwriting and trading, loan syndication, financial advisory, private placement of debt and equity securities, project finance, and direct equity investment; and the power to invest in allied and non-allied enterprises.
As of December 31, 2024, AUB's subsidiaries are Rural Bank of Angeles and Cavite United Rural Bank. AUB also has 39% equity in Asia United Leasing and Finance Corp. The Company, together with its subsidiaries, has a network of 266 branches.
