Makati Finance Corporation (MFIN) was incorporated on February 17, 1966 as Makati Investment & Finance Corporation. MFIN's commercial operations started with engaging in stock dealership functions, credit line extensions, and acceptance of private placements. In mid-2000s, MFIN shifted its focus on the growth and expansion of its operations and lending activities.
The Company has three main operating units that represent each main business line. These are Rx Cashline Group, which offers loans specifically tailored for medical professionals; Motor Vehicles Financing Group, which grants loans to motorcycle and car buyers; and Business Loans Group, which provides loans to business owners who wish to expand its business or for the purpose of starting capital. Beginning 2024, the MFIN has discontinued its car loan financing program due to competitive interest rates offered by local banks.
MFIN has also expanded its product lines to include new financial products, such as corporate salary loans, personal loans, micro business loans, pension loans, car loans, and leisure bikes financing. These loans are only offered domestically.
